Jr. Test Engineer

As a detail-oriented Junior Test Engineer at our company, you will be an integral part of the QA team. Your role will involve understanding project requirements, preparing test plans, test cases, and test data. You will perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing, execute manual test cases, and assist in test automation execution when applicable. Additionally, you will log, track, and verify defects using bug tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla. Collaboration with the development team to reproduce and troubleshoot issues will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also ensure that testing activities are carried out within agreed timelines and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and standards. Key Responsibilities: - Understand project requirements and prepare test plans, test cases, and test data. - Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing. - Execute manual test cases and assist in test automation execution where applicable. - Log, track, and verify defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.). - Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and troubleshoot issues. - Ensure testing activities are carried out within agreed timelines. - Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. - 1-2 years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automation). - Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC. - Hands-on experience with test case management and defect tracking tools. - Knowledge of any automation testing tools (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) is an advantage. - Familiarity with SQL queries for database validation. - Good understanding of web applications, APIs, and mobile application testing is a plus. - Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Additional Company Details: Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies, basic programming knowledge (Java, Python, or JavaScript) for test automation, and knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) are considered nice-to-have skills at our company.,
