Jr. Site Engineer : Residential

Job Purpose:

To assist in the execution and supervision of residential construction projects, ensuring that work is carried out according to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. The Junior Site Engineer supports senior engineers in day-to-day site activities, quality checks, and coordination with contractors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Supervision & Execution

• Supervise daily site activities to ensure work progress aligns with project schedules.
• Assist in layout marking, leveling, and measurement work.
• Ensure that construction activities comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and labor teams for timely work execution.

2. Quality Control & Safety

• Inspect materials, workmanship, and site practices to maintain quality.
• Report any deviations or issues to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and report any safety hazards on site.

3. Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with architects, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate material requirements with the procurement team.
• Update project management on work progress, delays, and site requirements.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain site records such as daily progress reports (DPR), material receipts, and labor attendance.
• Assist in preparing measurement sheets, quantity take-offs, and work progress summaries.
• Support in preparing checklists for inspections and quality audits.

5. Technical Support

• Read and interpret construction drawings, structural details, and BOQs.
• Assist in minor design adjustments and site-level problem-solving.
• Support the senior engineer in verifying subcontractor bills and quantities.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction practices
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, AutoCAD preferred)

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• Experience: 0–2 years of experience in residential or building construction projects

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
