Ascend is an organization that specializes in providing visa services to individuals in the 3 key areas of consulting expertise as follows:


1) EB1A Visa (Employment-based, first-preference visa available to non-U.S. citizens with extraordinary ability).


2) EB2NIW Visa (Employment-based visa that allows foreign nationals with Exceptional Ability).


3) O1A Visa (Non-immigrant type of visa to foreign nationals who have exceptional abilities or achievements in their field).


We offer services related to visas and help clients understand the specific requirements, documentation and procedures for obtaining the desired visa. We begin with initial consultations, assessments and documentation. Finally we assist in filling out and submitting visa applications.


Overview :


We are currently seeking a Jr. Legal Associate to join our organization.


JOB TITLE: Jr. Legal Associate


Training period : 2 month


Location: Fully Remote work ( From India only)


Probationary period : 6 Months


Terms of employment: Full time Employment


Salary: Will be disclosed in the mail


Job Description:

  1. Draft and prepare immigration petitions, forms, and legal correspondence under attorney supervision.
  2. Conduct legal research on immigration laws, USCIS regulations, and recent policy updates.
  3. Review client documents for accuracy and compliance, and coordinate with clients to gather required information.
  4. Prepare case summaries, letters, and supporting evidence for petition filings.
  5. Maintain and update case records, ensuring proper documentation and timely tracking.
  6. Assist attorneys with audits, RFEs, and other compliance-related matters.
  7. Support senior attorneys with drafting legal opinions, agreements, and immigration-related documentation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) or equivalent legal qualification.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in immigration law or legal drafting preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with U.S. immigration terminology and processes is an advantage.
  • Adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards. They should be familiar with the rules of professional responsibility and maintain client confidentiality.

    • Proficient in using legal research databases, processing software (such as MS Word, MS Excel) and Google workspaces (Drives, Docs, Sheets and slides).

 • Ready to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and prioritize assignments.
