Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and execution-driven Mines Manager to lead operations at our high-capacity granite building stone mine in Kerala. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for end-to-end mining operations—including planning, production, cost control, compliance, workforce efficiency, and digital reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, proven operational discipline, and the agility to adapt mine designs to real-world challenges while ensuring profitability and statutory compliance. Key ResponsibilitiesMine Operations & Production Oversee all operational activities: drilling (Nonel), blasting, bench formation, road design, overburden handling, and extraction. Adapt mine execution to dynamic field conditions, ensuring practical efficiency over rigid designs. Ensure strict adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement strategies as needed. Coordinate closely with internal teams including design, procurement, logistics, and project execution to align factory output with project timelines and customer expectations. Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials, tools, fittings, and consumables, and work with suppliers to ensure timely procurement and uninterrupted production. Enforce health and safety protocols across the facility and ensure compliance with statutory and company safety regulations. Collaborate with HR to recruit, train, and manage factory staff while promoting a disciplined, performance-oriented, and team-driven work culture. Optimize operational efficiency through cost control measures, process improvement, waste reduction, and effective use of technology and equipment. Ensure timely maintenance and optimal performance of all machinery including CNC, panel saws, and edge banding equipment. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Production, or related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience in managing production operations in furniture manufacturing and modular interiors. Strong knowledge of materials (wood, laminates, hardware, etc.) and manufacturing techniques (CNC, edge-banding, panel processing, etc.). Proven ability to lead teams and manage large-scale production units. Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and production management tools. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Preferred: Experience with lean manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma practices. Prior exposure to project-based modular interior manufacturing for commercial/residential clients.
