Position: Psychiatric Social Worker We are seeking dedicated and empathetic Psychiatric Social Workers to join our multidisciplinary team. Both experienced professionals and freshers with the right qualifications are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychosocial assessments and assist in care planning. Provide counseling, therapy, and support to patients and families under supervision. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and caregivers for holistic treatment. Participate in awareness programs, group sessions, and family meetings. Roles & Responsibilities Conduct vocational training programs such as candle making, soap making, tailoring, gardening, handicrafts, and other skill-based activities for patients. Plan and organize structured activities that improve patients’ self-confidence, creativity, and independence. Teach practical income-generating skills to promote patient rehabilitation and community reintegration. Guide patients in product quality, safety, and basic marketing skills where applicable. Work with the rehabilitation team (doctors, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists) to align training with individual patient care plans. Maintain records of attendance, progress, and skill development of each participant. Ensure a safe, supportive, and motivating environment during all training sessions. Introduce new craft techniques and vocational activities based on patient needs and institutional goals. Qualifications & Experience Diploma / Degree / Certification in Vocational Training, Skill Development, Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation, or related field. Training / experience in handicrafts, small-scale production (candle/soap making, tailoring, etc.). Ability to work with psychiatric, geriatric, or differently-abled patients with patience and empathy. Key Skills Strong knowledge of crafts, vocational skills, and small-scale production techniques. Patience, creativity, communication, and motivational skills. Ability to train groups as well as individuals. Record-keeping and basic reporting abilities.
