(i) Posting Location: The position shall be based on the following locations: • PATA, Auraiya (UP) (ii) Responsibilities: • Diagnose and treat ocular diseases • Prescribe, fit and adjust eyeglasses and other vision aids • Recommend appropriate patient follow-up and care options • Answer questions and provide advise to patients regarding vision and optical issues. • Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions. • Direct staff and assist in the development of the overall practice (iii) Working Hours: 9000 hrs to 1730 hrs (iv) Required Skills: • Applied understanding of general principles of optometry and best practices for the diagnosis and treatment of eye-related disorders and conditions • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to patients of diverse backgrounds • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality • General computer proficiency • Demonstrated problem solving skills and multitasking ability (v) Required Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma/Certificate Course in optometric from a recognized college • Two years of optometrist experience preferred (vi) Nature of appointment: The appointment will be on contract basis initially for a period of one year and thereafter extendable for specified period based on performance appraisal to be assessed for work output, personal attributes, functional competency etc and continuation of project by the Grantor. (vii) Reporting: Immediate Reporting will be to Medical Officer under the overall supervision of Head TCI Foundation. (viii) Age: Upper age limit is 50 years (may be relaxed in exceptionally qualified/ experienced candidates) and ready to travel extensively. (ix) Remuneration and Annual Increment: : Commensurate with qualification, experience & performance during written test/ interview. Annual increment would be based on performance appraisal and as per TCIF Human Resource Policy. (x) Deliverables: The Optometrist will be required to submit a monthly activity report and annual report to Medical Officer/Head TCI Foundation or his nominated official. Performance appraisal would include review of monthly activity reports, camps conducted, timely completion of activities & innovations done and annual assessment. (xi) Selection: Selection and appointment shall be carried out through advertisement followed by walk-in written test/ virtual or in person interview, if short listed.
