Job Description

Role Overview: As a Jira Administrator, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management, configuration, and optimization of the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira Data Center, Jira Cloud, Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence, and Assets (Insight). You will play a critical role in supporting enterprise-wide collaboration, IT service delivery, and asset management. Key Responsibilities: - Administer and configure Jira Data Center & Cloud, including DC-to-Cloud migration (Jira & Jira service Desk). - Manage Jira Issue types, workflows, screens, permissions, custom fields, automation rules, notifications, and screen schemes. - Set up and support Jira Service Management (JSM): service desks, SLAs, request types, and portals. - Design and maintain Assets (Insight) schemas. - Support Confluence spaces, templates, permissions, and plug-in management. - Provide application support for Jira, Confluence, and JSM across IT and business teams. - Gather and analyze business requirements to optimize Jira/Confluence configurations. - Evaluate, test, and configure Jira/Confluence plug-ins. - Automate tasks using REST APIs, webhooks, and ScriptRunner. - Create Jira projects, filters, dashboards, and reports. - Document workflows, configurations, and processes to support runbooks and training. - Stay updated with the latest Jira features and best practices. Qualifications Required: - Jira administration experience (DC & Cloud), including DC-to-Cloud migration (Jira & Jira service Desk). - Expertise in Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Assets (Insight). - Strong understanding of ITIL practices and service management workflows. - Proficient in REST APIs, scripting (e.g., Groovy/ScriptRunner), and system integrations. - Familiar with Agile (Scrum, Kanban), and SAFe methodologies. - Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and workflows. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication; effective stakeholder engagement. - Proactive, client-focused, and able to provide strategic guidance.
