Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Java Tech Lead with hands-on experience in API development to lead our backend engineering team. You will be responsible for designing scalable Java-based backend services and APIs that drive core business applications. This role blends deep technical expertise with strong leadership to deliver high-performance, secure, and maintainable systems. The ideal candidate brings a passion for technology, a track record in RESTful API development, and the ability to mentor and guide teams through complex projects

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of RESTful APIs using **Java, Spring Boot**, and related technologies.
• Architect scalable and secure backend services and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Conduct code reviews, set coding standards, and guide the team on best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, frontend, DevOps, and QA.
• Ensure robust API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI) and maintain version control standards.
• Handle API authentication/authorization using OAuth2, JWT, etc.
• Drive continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Stay updated with backend trends and recommend improvements.
  

Required Skills

• Strong core Java skills (preferably Java 11+).
• Expertise in **Spring Boot**, REST APIs, and Microservices.
• Experience with **RDBMS (MySQL/PostgreSQL)** and **NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis)**.
• Solid understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and API versioning.
• Familiar with **Docker, Kubernetes**, and deployment on **AWS/GCP/Azure**.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• 2+ years in a leadership or mentoring role.
