Java Production Support Engineer

• Provide L2/L3 production support for Java-based applications
  
• Monitor system and application health using AppDynamics, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana
  
• Perform root cause analysis and ensure timely resolution of incidents
  
• Participate in release and change review meetings, contributing to platform stability
  
• Develop automation scripts and tools to enhance reliability and reduce manual effort
  
• Work with development and infrastructure teams to implement performance improvements
  
• Support CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker
  
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for incident resolutions and procedures

Required Qualifications

• IT Operations: Strong experience in system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
  
• SRE Experience: 4+ years in Site Reliability Engineering or production support
  
• Development: Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, SQL, Spring Boot, and Microservices
  
• Observability Tools: Hands-on experience with AppDynamics, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana
  
• Cloud Platforms: Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP
  
• Containerization: Skilled in Kubernetes and Docker environments
  
• CI/CD: Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, and automated deployment pipelines
  
• Education: bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Java performance tuning and JVM optimization
  
• Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  
• Familiarity with shell scripting or Python automation for operational tasks
  
• Understanding of ITIL processes and incident/change management best practices
  
• Experience with data governance tools or Informatica Cloud (IICS)
  
• Background in healthcare, pharma, or retail industry environments
