About the Role:

Vikgol is looking for a talented and experienced Java + AWS Developer to join our Mobility Engineering team. You'll work on solving complex, real-world problems in the mobility, safety, and convenience services space alongside a highly collaborative team of software engineers, data scientists, and product owners.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll help design and build scalable microservices using modern cloud-native technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable backend systems and APIs using Java
• Develop and maintain microservices architecture and integrate with AWS services
• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and production-ready code
• Use AWS technologies like Lambda, SQS, and DynamoDB to build resilient systems
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning
• Own the deployment process using CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate closely with product owners to understand business requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing software components
• Work in an Agile environment focused on continuous delivery and feedback

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4–10 years of hands-on software development experience
• Proficient in Java and modern Java frameworks
• Strong experience in AWS services: Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience with CI/CD, containerization, and modern software delivery practices
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in startup or product-led environments
• Exposure to mobility or transportation domains
• Passion for building scalable cloud-native applications
