Java Developer

We are hiring Java–J2EE Developer with minimum 4 years of experience in enterprise application development, J2EE architecture, REST/SOAP services, and application servers, with basic working knowledge of Oracle and/or open-source databases.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s / Postgraduate degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Java–J2EE application development
• Experience working on enterprise-scale and web-based applications

Technical Proficiency – Java / J2EE

The candidate must demonstrate strong proficiency in the following:

Java & J2EE Technologies

• Java
• J2EE architecture and enterprise application concepts
• Experience with:
• Servlets
• JSP
• JDBC
• Strong understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and coding standards

Frameworks & Web Technologies

• Experience with Spring / Spring Boot (preferred)
• Development of RESTful and/or SOAP-based web services
• Working knowledge of:
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Understanding of client–server architecture

Application Servers

• Experience deploying and supporting applications on:
• Apache Tomcat
• JBoss / WildFly
• WebLogic (advantage)

Development Practices

• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Experience with version control systems (Git or equivalent)
• Ability to debug, test, and maintain enterprise applications

C. Database Skills (Mandatory – Basic DBA Knowledge)

The candidate must possess basic working knowledge of Oracle DBA or Open-Source DBA concepts, including:

• Strong SQL knowledge for:
• Writing and optimizing queries
• Working with tables, indexes, views, and constraints
• Basic understanding of:
• Database installation concepts (awareness level)
• Backup and recovery concepts
• User roles, privileges, and security
• Database performance considerations from an application perspective
• Exposure to:
• Oracle Database and/or
• Open-source databases such as PostgreSQL / MySQL

D. Desirable / Advantageous Skills

The following will be considered an added advantage:

• ORM frameworks such as Hibernate / JPA
• Knowledge of J2EE security concepts
• Basic Linux/Unix commands and shell scripting
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) – advantage
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / OCI)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and develop NLTA applications and Mobile Apps
• Monitor, analyse and develop NLTA Database
• Migration of applications and databases
• Install, configure and fine-tune the RDBMS
• Create the appropriate database structure, including tablespace, indexes, database objects, etc. on the proposed RDBMS ·
• Troubleshoot NLTA Database and Application issues
