Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Java Developer located in Chennai. The Java Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining software, building microservices, programming, and working with the Spring Framework. The developer will work closely with a team to ensure high-quality software solutions for the Life Sciences industry.

Qualifications

• Experience with Software Development and Microservices
• Knowledge of the Spring Framework
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work on-site in Chennai
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Previous experience in the Life Sciences industry is a plus
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Java development experience Proficiency in Core Java and strong understanding of Collections Solid experience with the Spring Framework (including Spring Boot)
• Strong experience with RESTful API design and integration Hands-on experience with Jira API for integration and automation Proficient with Git version control and standard workflows
• Experience with Groovy scripting for automation or build processes Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

Experience with relational and/or PostgreSQL databases. Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Gradle Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, or Spock
