About the Role:

We are supporting a reputed IT services and consulting firm in hiring a Java Backend Developer, a hands-on coding role focused on building and enhancing backend systems for enterprise client projects. This role will begin as a 12-month contract and work mode will be remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices and APIs used in enterprise-grade applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code (hands-on coding is mandatory).
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop integrations, middleware, and scalable backend services.
• Optimize performance and ensure security, reliability, and code quality.
• Conduct unit/integration testing, support CI/CD processes, and troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements:

• Around 6+ years of hands-on Java development experience with strong coding skills.
• Proficiency in Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and common design patterns.
• Experience with multithreading, data structures, and algorithms.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and exposure to messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes or cloud deployments (Azure preferred).
• Strong debugging/problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
