They must have good analytical abilities to understand the broader context of customer issues and the capability to follow SOPs and escalate matters within defined SLAs.

Networking

• Proficient with basic network commands used for troubleshooting desktop/laptop connectivity issues.

Server

• Strong knowledge of common operating system commands and utilities.

• Basic understanding of virtualization, server/client OS installation, and workgroup/domain concepts.

• Ability to perform OS installations, basic user-level commands, and manage local users/groups.

• Skilled in software installation and basic patch deployment.

Storage & Backup

• Ability to monitor enterprise storage and backup solutions.

• Skilled in storage and backup monitoring activities.

• Proficient in using ticketing tools.

Database

• Ability to create or modify SQL queries based on business requirements.

• Understanding of data modeling and the difference between OLTP and data warehouse applications.

• Familiarity with storage hardware, storage management techniques, and related software tools.

• Ability to optimize tables to reduce storage consumption.

End User Computing

• Confident in handling end-user calls and working with ticketing tools.

• Skilled in Active Directory management.

• Experience with antivirus management.

• Strong overall troubleshooting skills.
