IT Support Engineer

An IT Support Engineer provides technical assistance by troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues for users and clients, often in a remote or on-site capacity. Key duties include installing and configuring systems, diagnosing problems, managing technical tickets, documenting solutions in a knowledge base, and escalating complex issues to other teams. They act as a point of contact for user support, ensuring smooth and secure IT operations and contributing to the overall efficiency of technological systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Support & Troubleshooting:Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and operating system issues for end-users.
• System Installation & Configuration:Installing and configuring new computer hardware, software, applications, and network components.
• User Assistance & Onboarding:Providing technical guidance and support to users, including assisting with user accounts and onboarding new employees.
• Issue Management:Receiving, logging, and managing support requests through a ticketing system, ensuring they are resolved within established timelines.
• Documentation:Documenting issues, resolutions, and technical knowledge in a shared knowledge base for future reference.
• System Maintenance:Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Escalation:Escalating unresolved or more complex issues to appropriate internal departments or higher-level IT teams.
• Client Communication:Communicating technical information clearly to clients and end-users via phone, email, or chat, providing step-by-step instructions for solutions.
