Job Summary

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, reliability, and safety of trains, hardware systems, and associated infrastructure across yard locations. The role involves planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating repair activities, monitoring asset performance, and ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out

  preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance

  of trains, equipment, and yard systems.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware systems supporting yard operations.
  
• Oversee

  asset management

  and maintain adequate stock of spare parts and tools.
• Collaborate with yard teams to ensure

  safety compliance

  and adherence to operational standards.
• Maintain accurate

  maintenance reports, logs, and documentation

  for analysis and audits.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and coordinate

  quick resolution

  of technical issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
  

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Diploma/Bachelors degree in

  Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field

  .

• 25 years

  of hands-on maintenance experience (railway, metro, or heavy machinery preferred).
• Strong knowledge of

  preventive maintenance, hardware systems, and asset management tools

  .
• Excellent

  problem-solving, communication, and team coordination skills

  .
• Flexible to work in

  rotational shifts

  , travel across locations, and attend emergency call-outs.
• Strong focus on

  safety and operational reliability

  .
