IT Placement Specialist

Role: IT Placement Specialist

This is a high-impact role focused on strengthening hiring partnerships, driving placements, and ensuring exceptional employer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Identify, connect, and onboard new hiring partners across Data Science, AI/ML, Full Stack Development, Cloud, Cybersecurity, and Digital Marketing domains.
  • Understand client hiring requirements, JD specifics, and skill expectations.
  • Build strong and long-term employer relationships to ensure continuous hiring demand.

2. Candidate Placement & Coordination

  • Match candidates from upGrad’s learner pool with relevant job requirements.
  • Shortlist profiles based on skill fit, project experience, and employer expectations.
  • Coordinate interview processes: screening, scheduling, feedback, final selection, and offer closure.
  • Maintain strong follow-up with candidates until successful onboarding.

3. Recruitment & Market Knowledge

  • Stay updated on industry trends in Data Science, AI, ML, Data Engineering, Cloud, and Digital Marketing.
  • Advise candidates on interview preparation, market expectations, and upskilling alignment.
  • Drive hiring for roles like Data Analyst, Data Scientist, ML Engineer, AI Engineer, Digital Marketing Specialist, SEO/SEM roles, etc.

4. Reporting & Process Excellence

  • Maintain accurate placement trackers, client interaction records, and hiring dashboards.
  • Ensure timely reporting of placement outcomes, employer feedback, and pipeline status to stakeholders.
  • Work cross-functionally with Career Coaches, Program Managers, and Enterprise teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience in IT recruitment / hiring / client management / staffing.

  • Strong understanding of Data Science, AI/ML, Analytics, Cloud, Software roles, and Digital Marketing roles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and ensuring hiring closure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with targets and tight timelines.
  • Strong problem-solving, coordination, and candidate management skill
