IT Network & Systems Support – Manufacturing Unit (Gummidipoondi)

About the Role:
A leading manufacturing company in Gummidipoondi is looking for an experienced IT Network & Systems Support Professional to oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure, user support, and digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial IT networks, ERP systems, and hands-on experience implementing digital systems in manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain LAN/WAN, servers, and overall network infrastructure.
• Lead IT helpdesk operations, resolve user tickets, and ensure timely issue closure.
• Administer and troubleshoot ERP systems — including item master, billing, and inventory modules.
• Oversee CCTV networks, access controls, and IT security systems across the plant.
• Ensure data backups, firewall protection, antivirus management, and IT policy compliance.
• Support hardware and software troubleshooting to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Coordinate with external vendors for AMC, upgrades, and hardware/software procurement.
• Implement new IT software solutions, automation tools, and cloud integrations.
• Collaborate with project teams for new plant setups — including network, CCTV, and server installations.
• Integrate PLC, SCADA, and industrial equipment into IT networks for real-time data monitoring.
• Maintain and improve inventory tracking systems, ensuring ERP data accuracy.
• Prepare IT documentation, asset registers, and maintain compliance for internal/external audits.
• Willing to travel to other company units for IT setup or troubleshooting as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT system administration and network management.
• Mandatory certifications: CCNA, MCSE, CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in manufacturing industry IT systems, including ERP, SAAS, and international ERP module development (in collaboration with consultants).
• Strong knowledge of network security, CCTV systems, and industrial IT operations.
• Experience in project implementation, network setup, and system rollouts within plant environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with industrial automation networks (PLC, SCADA connectivity).
• Experience in cloud-based backups, remote monitoring, and IT analytics tools.
• Ability to train team members and implement standard IT operating procedures.
