IT Manager

Job Purpose

The IT Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and maintaining the organizations IT infrastructure, systems, security, and support operations to ensure smooth business continuity and technology efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations & Infrastructure

Manage day-to-day IT operations including servers, networks, hardware, software, and cloud services

Ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT systems

Oversee system upgrades, patches, and backups

Team Management

Lead and mentor IT support and system administration teams

Assign tasks, monitor performance, and conduct training

Coordinate with vendors and external IT service providers

Security & Compliance

Implement IT security policies, firewall management, antivirus, and data protection

Ensure compliance with company policies, audits, and regulatory requirements

Handle incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans

Project Management

Lead IT projects such as ERP implementation, cloud migration, system integrations

Manage timelines, budgets, and vendor coordination

Ensure successful delivery of technology initiatives

Support & User Management

Oversee helpdesk support and SLA adherence

Ensure timely resolution of IT issues for users

Improve user experience through process optimization

Strategic Planning

Align IT strategy with business objectives

Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements

Prepare IT budgets and cost optimization plans

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and system administration
• Experience with Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, Firewalls
• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Understanding of IT security standards & best practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Educational Qualification

Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering

Certifications like ITIL, CCNA, MCSE, AWS, Azure are a plus

Preferred Experience

Experience managing IT teams

Exposure to ERP systems, CRM, or enterprise applications

Industry experience in corporate / manufacturing / hospitality / services
