Job Description

The primary responsibility of the IT Support Technician includes managing and administering the information system, computers, servers, internet, e-mail server, and local and wide area networks. You will serve as a valuable resource for other technicians and users in resolving technical issues. Additionally, you will support the IT Manager in implementing and maintaining information systems, data processing systems, databases, network administration, applications programming, web design, and user support across the organization. Any matters that may impact Fairmont Jaipur's interests should be promptly brought to the attention of the management. In terms of people management, you are expected to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with all departments, promptly address queries, and provide efficient support to enable departments to deliver effective services. Regarding financial management, you will be responsible for identifying cost-effective resource utilization and assisting in conducting periodic and annual inventory audits of equipment, recommending replacements as necessary. Operationally, you will educate users on security, virus prevention, and password protection, as well as provide training on PC usage, peripherals, and program applications. It is essential to maintain contact with user departments, hardware vendors, and other relevant representatives. You will act as a front-line interface for internal and external users, resolving queries or complaints efficiently. Coordinating with Department Coordinators, Supervisors, and other Managers is crucial to ensure operational readiness, efficient resource utilization, and timely service delivery. It is imperative to adhere to software licensing laws, ensure the smooth operation of systems, including anti-virus software, print services, and e-mail provision. Furthermore, responsibilities include installing computer systems, ensuring effective backup systems, hardware, and software procurement, providing technological infrastructure, and contributing to organizational policy adherence. Qualifications for this role include a Diploma in Information Technology, minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience, proficiency in English language (reading, writing, and oral), expertise in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and knowledge of Windows Operating System. You are expected to possess good communication skills, a service-oriented mindset with attention to detail, the ability to work effectively in a team, self-motivation, and a professional demeanor at all times.,
