Job Description

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing first-level support for hardware, software, and networking issues. This includes installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. You will manage user support requests through a ticketing system or direct communication. In the realm of Network & System Maintenance, your duties will involve monitoring and maintaining local area networks (LAN), internet connectivity, and Wi-Fi systems. You will be accountable for performing regular system backups, ensuring data protection, and overseeing disaster recovery processes. Additionally, managing firewall settings, antivirus software, and implementing security patch updates will be crucial aspects of your role. Your responsibilities will also extend to Software & Application Management, which entails installing, upgrading, and providing support for commonly used office software such as MS Office, ERP, and Tally. Collaborating with software vendors for troubleshooting and updates will be part of your routine. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that software licenses are valid and renewed in a timely manner. In terms of Asset & Inventory Management, you will be required to maintain records of IT assets, conduct periodic audits, and tag and document IT hardware and software assets. User Access & Security will be another key area of focus where you will create and manage user accounts, email IDs, and system permissions. Implementing and enforcing cybersecurity best practices, as well as monitoring systems for unauthorized access or data breaches, will be integral to safeguarding company resources. Documentation & Reporting will also form a significant part of your responsibilities. This involves maintaining records of system configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and incident logs. You will be expected to prepare and submit regular IT reports to the management for review. Vendor Coordination will be essential as you liaise with external vendors for hardware procurement, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), or technical support. Your role will also involve evaluating IT products and suggesting improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Furthermore, as part of Project Support, you will assist in the implementation of IT projects and upgrades. Providing technical assistance during audits or compliance checks will be vital in ensuring that the organization meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.,
