IT Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Engineer to manage, maintain, and enhance our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in hardware, software, networking, firewalls, and servers (on-premise and cloud) and a working knowledge of SQL Server. This role requires a hands-on professional with deep knowledge of IT systems, strong troubleshooting ability, and up-to-date awareness of IT advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot company IT systems, desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Repair, replace, and upgrade hardware components when necessary.
• Diagnose and resolve software issues, glitches, and configuration problems.
• Design, implement, and manage company-wide networking infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN).
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot firewalls for both physical and virtual server environments.
• Implement and maintain firewall policies to safeguard internal networks against external threats.
• Monitor firewall logs, identify suspicious activity, and conduct regular security audits.
• Troubleshoot and resolve firewall-related issues across the IT infrastructure.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers (on-premise & cloud).
• Implement server hardening practices and ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, identifying potential threats and breaches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams (systems, security, networking) for issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate documentation of firewall configurations, IT policies, and server/network settings.
• Generate security and compliance reports on a regular basis.
• Document incident response procedures and lessons learned.
• Stay updated with emerging IT technologies, best practices, and cybersecurity trends.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in IT system administration and support.
• Strong expertise in firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, etc.) and related technologies.
• Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSH).
• Hands-on experience with VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access control technologies.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server (basic database administration, backups, and queries). • Working knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation. (Preferred)
• Proficiency in both hardware & software troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and virtual environments.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
