Position Details:

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of the data and analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
• Manage data architecture, Data Lakes/Data Lakehouse’s/Data Warehouses, leveraging cloud platforms like AWS to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Oversee the design and implementation of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions to facilitate data integration, data lakes and analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify reporting and analytics needs and develop solutions that provide insights into business performance and opportunities.
• Lead a team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists, providing mentorship,guidance, and support in their work and professional development.
• Lead and validate the work output from the data engineers to ensure high quality work which conforms to standards and best practices.
• Deliver the work assigned to the team within timelines in such a way that a high-quality solution is delivered within time.
• Work with the leadership team and as required present the end-to-end architecture solutions, implementation proposals and work progress updates to leadership and client as required.
• Experience with developing Data Lake House solutions, Data Warehouses on AWS is required.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulations.
• Monitor and optimize data performance, ensuring timely access to accurate data for analysis and reporting.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud data and analytics, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
• Build strong partnerships with IT, application development, and business teams to promote a data-driven culture within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in data integration and management, analytics or a related field with 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Strong experience with cloud data technologies and platforms. AWS experience is required.
• Strong experience in data modelling, Data Lakehouse architecture implementation, band Data Integration.
• Experience with developing Data Lake House solutions, Data Warehouses on AWS is required.
• Experience with AWS analytics platforms like S3, Delta Lake, Redshift is required.
• Experience with Glue, Spark, Python, Pyspark, EMR is required.
• Experience with BI Tools like ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Qlik is required
• Experience with programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Java) is required.
• Experience with developing AI/ML platforms is a strong plus.
• Experience with AWS Sage maker is a strong plus.
• Strong experience with building high performance end to end data pipelines for a Data Lake/Data Lakehouse is critical.
• Strong experience with building analytics solutions using BI Tools (ThoughtSpot,Tableau, Qlik) is critical.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide actionable insights.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and drive results across diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified data engineer, Azure Data Engineer, ThoughtSpot certifications) or data analytics.
• Experience in managing data initiatives in financial industry such is a plus
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management practices.
