Job Description

The IT Application Analyst plays a key role in bridging business needs with technical solutions. This role is responsible for leading the analysis, documentation, and validation of business requirements across multiple projects. The IT Application Analyst ensures that business objectives are met through effective collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Job Description:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure requirements and deliverables are well-defined, feasible, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead the elicitation, documentation, and validation of business and functional requirements through discovery meetings, workshops, and stakeholder interviews.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements and user stories that can be easily understood by technical teams.
  • Analyze business processes and propose effective, data driven solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, and customer experience.
  • Develop project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring alignment with technical capabilities and priorities.
  • Track progress of business analysis activities and ensure timely delivery of requirements and documentation.
  • Manage changes in business requirements and ensure alignment with evolving project scope, priorities, or constraints.
  • Ensure requirements traceability from definition through design, testing, and deployment phases.
  • Communicate risks or issues impacting requirements clarity or delivery to the BA Manager or Project Manager as needed.
  • Foster strong working relationships with business stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation - including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, and project updates.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm business needs are met.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance BA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
  • 4-6 years experience as a Business Analyst in the IT or software development industry.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) with hands-on experience in Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Excel, PPT).
  • Experienced in JIRA for requirements management and issue tracking.
  • Skilled in using Lucidchart or (or equivalent tools) for creating process flows, diagrams, and visual documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
