• Lead and perform coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cath lab, including elective and emergency PCI and coronary angiography.
• Provide on-call coverage for acute coronary syndromes (STEMI/NSTEMI) and deliver timely primary PCI with appropriate triage and transfer decisions.
• Participate in multidisciplinary Heart Team meetings for case planning (complex PCI, revascularisation strategy, structural referrals).
• Supervise and mentor cardiology trainees, cath-lab staff and nurses; ensure adherence to clinical protocols and infection-control standards.
• Maintain procedural documentation, quality metrics, and participate in morbidity & mortality reviews and clinical audits.
• Collaborate with imaging and critical-care teams to manage peri-procedural care and optimise patient outcomes.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• DM / DrNB in Cardiology (consultant-level qualification) with valid registration to practice in India.
• Proven interventional experience performing coronary angiography and PCI, including primary PCI for STEMI.
• Hands-on proficiency with intravascular imaging modalities (IVUS, OCT) during PCI.
• ACLS certification and experience in emergency cardiac care pathways.
• Strong cath-lab leadership with ability to work onsite in Amalapuram and manage on-call rotations.
• Commitment to clinical governance, documentation, and quality improvement initiatives.
  

Preferred

• Experience with complex PCI techniques (CTO, rotational atherectomy) and structural interventions.
• Prior consultant role in a tertiary care hospital with high-volume cath-lab exposure.
• Academic involvement or clinical research/publications in interventional cardiology.
