Job Description

The Internal Auditor is responsible for independently evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, operational procedures, financial processes, and compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and statutory requirements. The role ensures risk management, transparency, accuracy of records, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:Audit & Compliance

  • Conduct internal audits as per approved audit plan.
  • Review hospital policies, SOPs, and operational workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, statutory regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Verify adherence to ethical, legal, and professional standards.

Financial & Revenue Audit

  • Audit billing, collections, dues, discounts, and package compliance.
  • Verify patient billing accuracy, receipts, refunds, and pending dues.
  • Review pharmacy, lab, OT, embryology, and consumables usage.
  • Audit cash, bank transactions, and reconciliations.

Clinical & Operational Audit

  • Audit department-wise operations including OPD, IPD, IVF, Embryology, OT, Pharmacy, Lab, and Stores.
  • Verify patient consent forms, counseling records, and documentation.
  • Check adherence to clinical protocols and treatment guidelines.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance.

Inventory & Asset Audit

  • Audit inventory management, stock registers, expiry tracking, and wastage.
  • Verify fixed assets, tagging, and asset utilization.
  • Review procurement procedures and vendor compliance.

Risk Management

  • Identify operational, financial, and compliance risks.
  • Recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor implementation of audit recommendations.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare audit reports with observations, risk ratings, and recommendations.
  • Present findings to management.
  • Maintain audit records and evidence.
  • Follow up on audit action plans and closures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance / Healthcare Management.
  • CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter) / MBA (Finance) – preferred.
  • Certification in Internal Audit or Healthcare Audit – added advantage.

Experience:

  • 0–2 years of experience in internal auditing.
  • Healthcare / Hospital / IVF industry experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of hospital operations and healthcare regulations.
  • Attention to detail and integrity.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and audit tools.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
  • Follow professional ethics and audit standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
