Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Node.js Backend Developer to join our fast-paced engineering team. You will build the backbone of our consumer-facing app including real-time astrology engines, user profiles, content personalization, and API integrations all designed for scale and exceptional user Youll Do :

Design and build scalable backend APIs using Node.js for mobile platforms.
Implement business logic around user journeys, astrology calculations, and personalized content delivery.
Build and optimize services for performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
Integrate with 3rd-party APIs (e.g., astrology charting, payment gateways).
Work closely with frontend engineers and product managers to deliver features end-to-end.
Write clean, testable code and perform code reviews.
Participate in defining the system architecture and tech Were Looking For :
2-4 years of backend development experience with strong expertise in Node.js.
Proficiency in building RESTful APIs; GraphQL is a plus.
Solid experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other data stores.
Familiarity with caching, message queues, and background job processing (e.g., Redis, BullMQ).
Experience with cloud services like AWS/GCP, especially for deploying and scaling consumer-facing applications.
Strong understanding of authentication, security, and data privacy best practices.
Passion for building intuitive products that impact millions of users.
Startup mindset : ownership, curiosity, speed, and adaptability.
Willingness to work from office 5 days a week

Nice To Have

Experience in real-time or event-driven systems.
Familiarity with astrology APIs or a general interest in the domain.
Understanding of analytics, A/B testing, and user engagement tooling.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and observability stacks (ELK, Prometheus, etc.).
