Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Define and execute the technical vision for our products, ensuring they align with business objectives and industry best practices.
• Design, develop, and review technical architectures for complex software systems.
• Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and best practices within the engineering team.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, stakeholders, and other departments to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure high code quality and maintainability through code reviews, design reviews, and continuous improvement processes.
• Drive efficiency and predictability in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team.
• Mentor and groom senior tech talent and first-line managers.
• Build strong relationships with senior leadership while effectively advocating for the team's needs and priorities.
  

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software development and product engineering.
• Proven experience managing and leading multiple high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong technical architecture and design skills.
• Hands-on experience with software development, including coding, code reviews, and design reviews.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across different departments.
• A passion for technology and a desire to build innovative and impactful solutions.

• Experience with cloud platforms (We are in AWS).
• Experience with building and scaling high-volume, high-availability systems.
