Insulation Supervisor Job Summary: The Insulation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all insulation-related tasks in the furniture production process. This includes supervising workers involved in installing thermal, acoustic, or protective insulation materials into furniture units to ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the insulation team during production activities. Review design specifications and ensure correct insulation materials are applied (e.g., foam, fiberglass, acoustic panels). Ensure insulation is properly installed in products such as soundproof panels, insulated cabinets, acoustic furniture, or climate-sensitive units. Monitor quality control checks and ensure insulation work meets product and customer specifications. Schedule tasks, assign responsibilities, and manage team productivity to meet daily and weekly production targets. Coordinate with design, woodworking, and upholstery teams to ensure insulation is properly integrated into the manufacturing process. Maintain inventory of insulation materials and request replenishment as needed. Train and mentor team members on insulation techniques and safety protocols. Conduct routine inspections and ensure adherence to workplace safety and hygiene standards. Document production reports, including daily output, quality issues, and material usage. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma in production, manufacturing, or insulation technologies preferred. 3–5 years of experience in furniture manufacturing or insulation-related work. Prior experience in a supervisory or team leader role is a plus. Knowledge of insulation materials such as polyurethane foam, acoustic padding, fiberglass, and eco-friendly alternatives. Ability to read product blueprints, design plans, and technical instructions. Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills. Familiarity with safety protocols related to insulation work in a manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills & Certifications: Training in acoustic or thermal insulation techniques Forklift or material handling certification (if applicable) Workplace safety or first aid certification Basic knowledge of ERP or production management systems Working Conditions: Factory-based role with exposure to machinery, insulation materials, and moderate noise levels. May involve standing for long periods and handling materials manually. Requires use of protective gear such as gloves, masks, and safety glasses.
