Job Description

The position / About the Job:

In this job the Instrumentation & Commissioning engineer would be responsible for:

Plan & schedule the Instrumentation, electrical and Automation related activities for the project.
Handle & execute simple hard/ software orders independently in consultation with PM, delivering equipment/ or plants as per the contract requirements within the project budget & agreed time
Field Instruments selection & sizing
Preparation of Instrument Index, Data sheets (Specification sheets), BOM, Cable & JB schedule, PLC IO Calculation/List ,
Perform calculations like CV , UPS & Battery , heat dissipation, Air consumption
Design of PLC Panels, JB s. electrical panels in low voltage.
Understanding on Control Valve selection & sizing.
Develop the alternative design for new product development.
Knowledge on Instrumentation standards IEC, BS, ANSI, NFPA, ISA,UL is must.
Person should know the CE, UL norms & HAZOP study.
Review engineering documents, analyse design and retrieve information to complete the project design documentation.
Review of vendor drawings & documents, technical bid evaluation
Support for procurement action
Coordinate the planning of the design activities.
Understanding & assistance in design and development for following areas: -

- Control room layout

- PLC Panel GA, wiring, BOM drawing

- Cable Tray layout & related BOM generation

- Instrument Installation /hook-up Drawings

PLC-Knowledge on PLC System architecture, type of PLC, I/O cards, HMI,SCADA
Participate in proposal and sales work as & when required
Support Supply Chain in identifying, evaluating & selecting the alternate vendors.
Cost estimation & approval of electrical systems
Attend site meetings with customer, consultants and external suppliers

Who you are

Knowledge / Qualification :

B.E. Instrumentation & Control Engineering (required).

Skills:

Fluent written and spoken English.
Experience in Site commissioning of Electrical and Instrumentation equipment
+5-7 years experience with engineering and commissioning
Good knowledge and experience with project work.
Cross-cultural awareness.
PLC programming awareness

Attitude:

Structured and systematic approach.
Orientation on high quality and standards of work results.
Team player with good communication and negotiation skills.
Eager to share knowledge and experience with others.
Customer-orientation and effective in cooperation.
Self-driven and responsible also for others.

Motivation:
