Instrument Technician

As an Instrument Technician in the Oil & Gas industry based in Abu Dhabi, your main responsibility will be to handle the installation, calibration, testing, maintenance, and repair of field instrumentation and control systems. These tasks are crucial to guaranteeing the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant facilities while ensuring compliance with site standards and procedures. Your key responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, and calibrating various field instruments such as pressure, temperature, level, and flow transmitters, switches, control valves, analyzers, and gauges. You will need to proficiently read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and instrument datasheets to execute correct installation and maintenance activities. Performing routine preventive maintenance and inspection of instrumentation equipment according to the maintenance schedule will also be part of your daily tasks. It will be your duty to conduct calibration and functional testing using the appropriate calibration equipment and accurately document the results. Additionally, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and rectifying faults in instrumentation loops and control systems to ensure smooth operation. Moreover, you will play a role in loop checking, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities with the guidance of supervisors or engineers. This is a full-time position that follows a day shift schedule and requires your physical presence at the work location.,
