Job Description

An Inside Sales Specialist plays a crucial role in promoting and selling products or services over the phone. They are responsible for contacting potential customers, generating leads, and closing sales deals through effective communication skills. They are often the first point of contact between the company and its customers, so they need to be persuasive, proactive, and customer-focused.

Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound calls to potential customers to generate leads, introduce products/services, and persuade them to make a purchase.
  • Respond to inbound calls from customers, address their queries, provide product information, and assist in resolving any issues or concerns.
  • Achieve sales targets and objectives by following provided scripts and strategies.
  • Maintain a database of potential and existing customers, keep records of interactions, and update customer information.
  • Nurture long-term relationships with customers by consistently following up on leads and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify new opportunities, cross-sell or upsell products/services, and maximize sales potential.
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, market trends, and competitors' activities to effectively communicate product features and benefits to customers.
  • Provide feedback to the management team on customer needs, market trends, and sales strategies.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines while conducting sales calls.
  • Keep a track of daily, weekly, and monthly sales activities and report sales metrics to the management team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Inside Sales or Lead Generation or telecaller or similar role in sales or telemarketing.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a clear and friendly telephone manner.
  • Strong persuasive and negotiation skills to effectively convert leads into sales.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple calls and meet sales targets.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with CRM software and telecommunication systems.
  • High level of resilience and determination to handle rejection and maintain motivation.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings and weekends, if required.
