Your role, your impact

As a .NET and SQL Support Engineer, you will support Alithya’s Digital Applications solutions. Reporting to the Digital Applications Support team, you will play a crucial role in the ongoing support of a high-profile product used to monitor equipment status in the nuclear industry.

Please note that this position requires working hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., following a rotating schedule of 3 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, and 3 days off.


Your day-to-day

  • Provide ongoing support for a high-profile product in the nuclear industry;
  • Develop and debug in Visual Studio or VS Code;
  • Connect the application to leading back-end data stores (SQL, NoSQL, Big Data);
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and database issues;
  • Work effectively across teams, both internally and with the client;
  • Work independently and without supervision to produce quality results.

Keys to your success

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience);
  • SQL Server and Azure certifications;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a .NET developer role;
  • Experience with C#/Angular web applications, as well as with Azure cloud services, including deployment, scalability, and high-availability strategies;
  • Experience in SQL Server database administration, management, performance optimization, and security;
  • Skilled in front-end, middle-tier and back-end development;
  • Well versed in MVC, MVP, MVVM, microservices, Entity Framework and LINQ;
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure automation tools;
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a proven track record of resolving complex infrastructure and database issues under pressure;
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
