Job Description

Location: Remote (India)
Full-time contract

About us

At Sanctuary, we're building a first-of-its-kind wellness community in Texas Hill Country (just 25 minutes west of Austin) - 100+ sustainable homes, a wellness center, retreat spaces, and regenerative land practices. We're blending modern design, sovereignty-minded infrastructure, and nature to create a place families can thrive for generations. Here's more about the company: https://sanctuary.co/

We're a global team with most of our design and engineering based in India. Now we're looking for a driven and technically strong Infrastructure & Utilities Lead to help us bring this vision to life.

The role

We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure & Utilities Lead to own the design and coordination of utility systems and site infrastructure across our growing development.

This is a pivotal role for our next phase of growth as we expand to new land and begin development of homes, amenities, and commercial spaces. You'll work at the intersection of civil engineering, sustainability, and utility design, bringing our off-grid vision to life in collaboration with engineers, consultants, and our in-house team.

What you'll own

  • Lead utility planning across power (solar PV, battery storage), water (potable/non-potable, rainwater harvesting), geothermal systems, and energy distribution
  • Coordinate across disciplines—MEP, civil, sustainability, architecture, and construction
  • Direct civil infrastructure strategy including trenching, utility corridors, site lighting, and system integration
  • Own budgets, timelines, and phasing for utility and civil scopes
  • Serve as point of contact with utility providers, consultants, and permitting bodies
  • Translate vision into systems that are cost-effective, sustainable, and scalabl

We don't require every box checked, but the ideal candidate has:

  • A degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering

  • 6+ years experience in utility and site infrastructure design

  • Hands-on work with solar, geothermal, or rainwater systems

  • Experience on large residential or mixed-use developments

  • Strong cross-functional coordination and problem-solving skills

Why Join Us

  • Reliable & Professional: On-time payments, clear contracts, and a respectful global team

  • Visa Sponsorship Path: After 1 year of high-performing work, opportunity to travel to the U.S. site for 3–6 months to lead infrastructure on the ground

  • Remote-first culture — we measure outcomes, not hours
  • Work with an ambitious, design-forward, and mission-driven team
  • Build real communities, not just structures
