Information Technology Specialist

As an Information Technology (IT) Specialist at our company, your role will involve managing, maintaining, and enhancing our IT infrastructure, providing technical support to end-users, ensuring data security, and assisting in implementing technology solutions aligned with business requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Provide timely and effective technical support to users on hardware, software, networks, and systems. - Maintain and monitor LAN/WAN, servers, firewalls, and other IT systems for optimal performance. - Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications and hardware equipment such as PCs, printers, routers, etc. - Implement cybersecurity measures, ensure data backup, and protect against unauthorized access, viruses, and data breaches. - Regularly update and maintain software, firmware, and hardware to enhance functionality and security. - Keep accurate records of system configurations, issues, maintenance logs, and technical procedures. - Educate and support staff on technology use, best practices, and security protocols. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. - 1+ years of proven experience in IT support or a similar technical role. - Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and enterprise applications. - Hands-on experience with networks, servers, databases, and cloud platforms. - Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols and backup systems. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. - Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure. Preferred Certifications (not mandatory but a plus): - CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Security+ - Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or MCSA - Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) In addition to the responsibilities and qualifications mentioned above, this full-time role may be situated on-site or in a hybrid work environment based on company policy.
