Infection Control Nurse (ICN)

1. Lead the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Program to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

2. Conduct continuous surveillance, analysis, and reporting of Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAIs) to identify patterns, root causes, and improvement areas.

3. Develop and update infection control policies and SOPs in alignment with NABH and JCI guidelines.

4. Organize training sessions, workshops, and awareness programs on infection prevention, aseptic techniques, and hand hygiene.

5. Collaborate with medical, nursing, housekeeping, and laboratory teams to ensure compliance with IPC standards across all units.

6. Perform regular audits and inspections of clinical and non-clinical areas to monitor adherence to infection control practices.

7. Provide expert support during infection outbreaks or exposure incidents, ensuring prompt containment and corrective measures.

8. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and data reports for quality assurance and accreditation purposes.

9. Participate in Infection Control Committee meetings and contribute to hospital-wide infection prevention strategies.

10. Support sterilization and disinfection protocols across departments to ensure compliance and patient safety.
