Job Title: Commis – Indian Section

About the Role:

Baywatch Resort, Goa is looking for a skilled Commis (Indian) to support the culinary team in preparing authentic Indian dishes. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Indian cooking techniques, basic kitchen operations, and a strong passion for food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of Indian dishes as per the menu and chef’s instructions.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Ensure proper cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation of the kitchen and work area.
• Assist in mise-en-place for curries, breads, gravies, tandoor prep, and other Indian specialties.
• Follow food safety standards and maintain kitchen SOPs.
• Support senior chefs in managing stock, storing ingredients, and minimizing wastage.
• Cooperate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations during buffet and à la carte service.
• Handle basic cutting, chopping, grinding, and marination tasks.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience working in an Indian kitchen, preferably in hotels or resorts.
• Understanding of Indian spices, flavours, and preparation methods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
• Good teamwork, discipline, and willingness to learn.

Salary:

As per experience and interview performance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
