We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager in our LPA Support Functions team. You will be responsible for -



Team Management


  • Manage CLS operations for Australia and New Zealand teams.

  • Groom the team with adequate training for handling the vessels in two different countries.

  • Provide assistance to the supervisors in times of requirements, operationally and administratively.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate information and addressing any concerns or complaints whenever escalated.

  • Contribute to increasing team efficiency by giving support to both.




Operations


  • Ensure to run the quality check for ABF and Biosecurity for Australia.

  • Manage the CTM jobs. Handle the payment matters. For Australia.

  • Ensure the receipt of prefunding prior to execution of the job for AUS and NZ.

  • Review the vessel list of New Zealand.

  • Handle the escalations for AUS and NZ.

  • Participate in the calls with region / local office and provide the updates on the managed services.

  • Arrange the team meetings to address any new updates within the country, to discuss on the service arrangements and any shortfalls while handling the service.

  • Maintain working Instructions and checklists for Australia and New Zealand.




Reporting

Prepare, analyse, and submit regular and ad-hoc reports to Management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.



What you ll do (Key Accountabilities & Key Deliverables) :


  • Lead the Support Function teams to ensure the execution of the business plan in an efficient way.

  • Determine long-range objectives and goals to meet business operation expectations.

  • Facilitate the implementation and evaluation of procedures and policies.

  • Serve as the primary business contact at the VSC Hub for the region / local offices.

  • Consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organisation to ensure quality.

  • Knowledge to coordinate with Australian and New Zealand Government Authorities.

Academic Qualification


  • Mandatory - Graduate in any stream.

  • Desirable Shipping and port operations-related courses will be added advantage.




Experience


  • 4-5 years of Working experience in the Port agency business and/or with Ship/crew Management companies.

  • Experience in handling husbandry/non-commercial jobs.

  • Experience in vendor management.

  • Must be experienced in leading a team.

  • Experience in training the team members.
