As an Special Educator at Podar ORT International School (IB) in Worli, Mumbai, your primary responsibility will be to support students with learning differences, disabilities, or exceptionalities. Engaging with families and the community is another vital aspect of the role. You will communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and support strategies, participate in meetings with parents and external professionals, and facilitate transitions between year levels and/or programmes. Maintaining up-to-date records of student support plans, assessments, and progress reports, as well as ensuring compliance with IB Access and Inclusion Policy and relevant national/international laws, are also part of your duties. You will assist in IB evaluation and authorization visits by providing documentation and evidence of inclusive practices. To be successful in this position, you are required to have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Inclusive Education, or a related field, along with certification or training in Special Needs Education. Previous experience working in inclusive/international/IB school settings is preferred. A strong understanding of differentiation, universal design for learning (UDL), and multisensory instructional strategies is essential for this role.,

Job Purpose To provide specialized support and interventions for students with diverse learning needs (including learning disabilities, developmental delays, behavioral challenges, sensory and motor difficulties, and other special educational needs) from Nursery to Grade 10.
