We are a creative startup producing short-format cinematic animation videos based on themes of astrology and stock market. Our focus is on delivering high-quality, visually striking content that blends storytelling with unique concepts. As the Illustrator / Concept Artist, you will be the visual architect of our stories. From powerful astrological deities to unique characters representing the psychology of markets, your art will set the tone and identity of each project. Your illustrations will not just be designs — they will be the foundation of entire animated worlds. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on imagination, loves experimenting with different styles, and finds joy in turning abstract concepts into striking visual characters and environments.

Responsibilities:

• Develop original designs for astrological deities, environment concepts, props, and unique non-human characters inspired by psychology and stock market themes.
• Translate narrative ideas into detailed concept art that inspires animators and storytellers.
• Create visual explorations, mood boards, and style guides to bring abstract ideas to life.
• Push the boundaries of creativity while maintaining clarity in design.
• Work closely with 3D artists and animators to ensure illustrations translate effectively into production-ready models and environments.
• Iterate quickly on feedback from the creative director and animation team.
• Maintain consistency in design language across characters, environments, and visual motifs.

Requirements:

• 2 - 4 years of professional experience (exceptional freshers with strong portfolios will also be considered).
• Strong skills in character design and environment concept art.
• Ability to adapt styles for astrological themes, stock market storytelling, and other unique concepts.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop (knowledge of other tools such as Procreate, Krita, or Clip Studio Paint is a plus).
• Must provide a portfolio link (ArtStation, Behance, or similar) — applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
• Strong communication skills and openness to collaborative feedback.
• Full-time role from our Bangalore office.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in designing for 3D pipelines (turnarounds, orthographic sketches, prop sheets).
• Knowledge of Blender/ZBrush/Maya for basic 3D blocking (to communicate ideas better).
• Familiarity with cinematic storytelling and framing.
• Comfort with both stylized and semi-realistic design styles.
• Interest in mythology, psychology, or finance-based storytelling themes (helps align with your projects).

Additional Requirements

• Must share a strong portfolio (ArtStation, Behance, or similar) showcasing character designs, environment concepts, and visual storytelling.
• At least one example of turnaround sheets or detailed character exploration (front, side, back).
• Work demonstrating versatility in mythical, cultural, or psychological themes will be a plus.

A techincal test will be part of the selection process to evaluate creativity, imagination and design clarity.
