The OT Technician plays a critical role in ensuring patient safety and the smooth functioning of surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain operation theatre before, during, and after surgery. Set up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and necessary equipment. Ensure all surgical instruments are sterilized and in working condition. Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nurses during surgeries. Handle surgical instruments and pass them to the surgeon during the procedure. Monitor and maintain OT equipment (e.g., lights, suction machines, cautery, etc.). Follow infection control protocols and maintain aseptic conditions. Properly dispose of bio-medical waste as per hospital guidelines. Transport patients to and from the OT with care. Maintain accurate records of procedures, sterilization logs, and inventory. Support post-operative cleaning and preparation for the next surgery.
