Job Description

Position Title: ICT Officer – Office 365 & Client Support Reports To: Head of Corporate Services / ICT Manager Location: Currently Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Position Purpose The ICT Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining the organisation’s internal Office 365 environment, ensuring availability, security, and efficient use across teams. This role also involves providing ICT support to external clients on a case-by-case basis, including troubleshooting, user training, and integration assistance. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with a strong technical foundation and good interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities Internal Office 365 Management Administer Office 365 tenants including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and related Microsoft 365 services. Manage user accounts, security groups, licensing, and access controls. Monitor system performance, backups, and ensure timely updates and patches. Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance. Provide training and documentation to internal staff on efficient use of Office 365 tools. General ICT Support Act as the first point of contact for internal ICT issues and service requests. Troubleshoot hardware and software problems (e.g. laptops, printers, mobile devices). Liaise with third-party vendors and managed service providers when required. Support network and infrastructure maintenance in collaboration with external IT providers. Maintain asset registers and software license compliance. External Client ICT Support (As Required) Provide remote or onsite support to clients for Office 365 setup, migration, and troubleshooting. Assist with integration of Microsoft 365 into client systems where applicable. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and maintain clear documentation of services provided. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Demonstrated experience in Office 365 administration. Strong understanding of Microsoft Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently. Solid knowledge of Windows OS, networking basics, and end-user hardware. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Desirable: Microsoft 365 certification (e.g., MS-100, MS-101 or equivalent). Experience supporting small to medium business clients. Exposure to ITIL frameworks or ticketing systems. Key Skills & Competencies Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude. Ability to prioritise work and manage multiple tasks. Strong written and verbal communication. Professionalism and discretion when dealing with sensitive data. Customer-first mindset. Performance Indicators Uptime and performance of internal Office 365 environment. Response and resolution time for support tickets. Client satisfaction scores (if applicable). Compliance with internal IT policies and licensing. Accuracy of documentation and training provided.
