Hydroponic Farming - Agronomist

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Farm & Operations Management

• Supervise and coordinate daily labour activities.
• Collaborate with operations teams to enhance workflow efficiency and boost crop yield.

Hydroponic System & Irrigation Oversight

• Monitor and maintain hydroponic irrigation and automation systems.
• Troubleshoot issues related to pumps, sensors, valves, and fertigation equipment.

Crop Planning & Nutrient Optimization

• Develop crop plans based on production goals and market demand.
• Ensure accurate nutrient dosing and maintain correct pH and EC levels.

Plant Health, Pest & Disease Management

• Conduct regular plant health assessments and diagnose issues early.
• Implement integrated pest and disease management strategies.

Harvesting & Post-Harvest Coordination

• Oversee harvesting activities to meet quality and yield goals.
• Support post-harvest handling, grading, packaging, and sales coordination.

Data Logging & Reporting

• Maintain detailed logs of nutrient levels, system performance, and crop growth.
• Prepare reports with insights for continuous process improvement.

Technology & Automation

• Guide the team in using sensors, monitoring tools, and automation systems.
• Support the introduction of innovative farming practices and tools.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in hydroponic farming or controlled-environment agriculture (CEA).
• Strong understanding of nutrient management, plant physiology, and pest/disease control.
• Ability to troubleshoot irrigation and automation systems.
• Good team management, analytical, and communication skills.
