HR Manager Roles and Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Develop and implement effective hiring strategies.
  • Create job descriptions and manage job postings.
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate with department heads.
  • Oversee onboarding and ensure smooth new-hire integration.

2. Employee Relations

  • Act as a point of contact between management and employees.
  • Handle employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions.
  • Foster a positive and productive workplace culture.
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage offboarding.

3. Performance Management

  • Develop performance evaluation systems.
  • Coordinate performance reviews and provide guidance to managers.
  • Identify training and development needs.

4. Training & Development

  • Organize skill-building programs, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Implement career development and succession planning initiatives.

5. HR Policies & Compliance

  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, health & safety regulations, and organizational standards.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.

6. Compensation & Benefits Management

  • Manage payroll processes in collaboration with finance teams.
  • Oversee benefits programs (health insurance, leave, retirement plans, etc.).
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and recommend compensation adjustments.

7. Strategic HR Planning

  • Support organizational planning and change management.
  • Analyze HR metrics (turnover, engagement, hiring efficiency).
  • Align HR strategies with business goals.

8. HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain HRIS systems and employee databases.
  • Prepare HR reports for management.
  • Oversee attendance, leave, and time-tracking systems.

9. Workplace Safety & Well-Being

  • Implement employee wellness programs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Promote mental health, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
