Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities of HR/Personnel Manager:

1. Recruitment & Staffing (End-to-End Hiring)

  • Lead the complete recruitment cycle: manpower planning, job posting, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, selection, salary negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Manage

    bulk hiring and project-based mass mobilization

    for technical, skilled, and unskilled manpower.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for urgent project requirements.
  • Coordinate with department heads and site HR to understand manpower requirements and deployment timelines.
  • Ensure timely documentation of new joiners including offer letters, joining kits, and background verifications.

2. Contractor & Vendor Workforce Management

  • Manage and coordinate with multiple labour contractors, manpower agencies, and external vendors.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with statutory regulations (PF/ESI, minimum wages, labour laws, attendance, overtime).
  • Validate daily manpower deployment, wage sheets, and contractor bills as per client requirements.
  • Resolve disputes related to contractor workforce, attendance, or salary issues.

3. HR Operations & Site Coordination

  • Act as a link between

    corporate HR

    and

    site HR

    teams for smooth flow of HR operations.
  • Ensure adherence to client-side HR policies (Hindustan Zinc Limited or other project clients).
  • Maintain employee records, MIS reports, attrition data, and manpower strength on a regular basis.
  • Support joining formalities, ID card preparation, medical checks, gate pass approvals, and accommodation coordination.

4. Employee Relations & General HR Administration

  • Address employee grievances related to payroll, attendance, leaves, and site-level HR concerns.
  • Assist in disciplinary procedures, warnings, notices, and maintaining personnel files.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor employee well-being, working conditions, and engagement activities.

5. Statutory Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure full compliance under labour laws and client norms at all sites.
  • Maintain documentation including PF, ESIC, bonus, gratuity, minimum wages, and contractor statutory submissions.
  • Coordinate with accounts/payroll team for salary processing and attendance correctness.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of manpower recruitment, bulk hiring, and contractor workforce management.
  • Knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, and site-based HR processes.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multi-site activities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, reports, and HR documentation
