Job Description

Job Purpose

To ensure the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across all solar O&M activities, promoting a safe and compliant work culture while minimizing environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities -

Health & Safety Compliance

  • Implement and monitor HSE policies in line with national regulations and company standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management).

Operational Safety Oversight

  • Lead daily toolbox talks and safety briefings for technicians and contractors.
  • Maintain Job Safety Analysis (JSA) records for all site activities.
  • Monitor use and condition of PPE and safety equipment.

Incident Management

  • Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain incident logs and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
  • Coordinate emergency response drills and preparedness plans.

Environmental Stewardship

  • Monitor environmental impact of operations, including waste disposal and emissions.
  • Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations and permits.
  • Promote sustainability initiatives across sites.

Training & Awareness

  • Conduct HSE induction and refresher training for staff and contractors.
  • Foster a culture of safety through awareness campaigns and engagement.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain HSE records including inspections, training, incidents, and audits.
  • Submit monthly HSE performance reports to management.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
  • 3–5 years of experience in solar O&M or similar energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of rooftop and ground-mounted solar safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HSE reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Work Location

Multiple solar sites across India; candidate must be willing to travel and work in field conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
