HRBP Lead, Merchant Business About the company: PhonePe aims to make people feel that they never need to carry cash or cards again. Launched in 2016, PhonePe has 600+ million registered users and 40+ million merchants on the platform. Job Objective: We are seeking an HRBP Lead for our Merchant Business. The role involves developing and executing the HR strategy in close partnership with the leadership team. Role & Team: The role, based in our HQ at Bengaluru, will lead the HR for a vertical(s) within the merchant business. The role holder will lead a couple of direct reports in Bengaluru, providing an opportunity to experience traditional retail/FMCG & startup ways of working. Responsibilities: - Partner in building AOP by planning people requirements based on business growth. - Business Partnering to deliver on business targets and identify efficiency opportunities. - Talent Management including performance evaluations, succession planning, and organization connect surveys. - Providing coaching on managerial and people development to the leadership team. Capabilities & Requirements: - MBA - HR with 7-10 years" experience in business partnering, preferably with 2+ years in sales teams. - Exposure to a start-up environment is advantageous. - Strong business acumen, understanding of retail go-to-market, and HR concepts. - Proficient in problem-solving, influencing, and building relationships.
