HR Payroll Specialist

Role & responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement.

• Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements including PF, ESIC, POSH, and LWF.
• Handle payroll software transitions, including data migration, reconciliation, and system validation.
• Address employee queries related to salary, deductions, reimbursements, and time & attendance.
• Support salary structuring and restructuring in alignment with company policies and statutory norms.
• Conduct employee feedback calls, manage KRA/KPI tracking, and handle monthly probation and confirmation reviews.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure strict confidentiality of employee data.
• Stay updated with labor laws, statutory amendments, and payroll best practices.
• Support audits and compliance reporting as required.
• Conduct training sessions on the use of time and attendance tracking systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3-4+ years of hands-on experience in payroll processing, preferably in startups or fast growing organizations.

• Proficiency in payroll software, HRIS, and time & attendance systems.

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, data validation).

• Experience managing payroll for multiple employee categories and pay structures.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective time management with the ability to meet strict payroll deadlines.

• Clear communication and strong collaboration skills.
