Role: HR Manager / HR Business Partner (HRBP)

Location:

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Strategy & Business Partnership

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to business heads and project leaders.
  • Align HR initiatives with Monarch’s growth plans and multi-sector operations.
  • Provide insights on workforce planning, talent gaps, and organizational design.

2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for technical, managerial, and leadership roles.
  • Build strong talent pipelines for engineering consultancy and infra sectors.
  • Implement structured hiring processes, assessments, and onboarding frameworks.

3. Performance Management & Appraisal Systems

  • Design and drive annual and mid-year appraisal cycles.
  • Implement KPI-based performance frameworks aligned with project outcomes.
  • Coach managers on feedback, goal-setting, and performance improvement plans.

4. Compensation, Benefits & HR Policies

  • Manage compensation benchmarking, salary structures, and annual increments.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal HR policies.
  • Drive C&B programs that support retention and internal equity.

5. Employee Engagement & Retention

  • Build engagement programs tailored to engineering and project-based teams.
  • Conduct pulse surveys, skip-level meetings, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Identify retention risks and implement proactive interventions.

6. HR Operations & Systems

  • Set up and streamline HR processes, SOPs, and digital workflows.
  • Implement HRMS/ERP modules for attendance, payroll, performance, and records.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, MIS reporting, and HR analytics.

7. Employee Relations & Exit Management

  • Handle employee grievances with fairness, confidentiality, and clarity.
  • Manage disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, and compliance.
  • Oversee smooth exit processes, exit interviews, and attrition analysis.

8. Travel & Branch Coordination

  • Visit branch offices periodically to ensure HR alignment and support.
  • Standardize HR practices across locations and project sites.

Candidate Profile

Must-Haves

  • MBA in Human Resources (mandatory).
  • 10+ years of HR experience

    in engineering consultancy or related technical sectors.
  • Strong exposure to recruitment, performance management, C&B, HR operations, and employee engagement.
  • Experience in setting up HR systems, policies, and scalable processes.
  • Tech-savvy with hands-on experience in HRMS/ERP tools.
  • Willingness to travel to branch offices as required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional and project-based teams.
  • High ownership, structured thinking, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-sector environment.
