As an experienced HR professional, you will lead a team responsible for various HR functions such as employee relations, benefits management, regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and employee engagement for a diverse workforce comprising full-time employees and hourly workers. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Supervising a team of 4-5 direct reports and 20+ indirect reports in an onsite setting. - Collaborating with senior management to enhance processes and develop HR policies, programs, and activities. - Ensuring full compliance with US state and federal laws while aligning policies with the company's vision. - Recommending, implementing, and coordinating HR policies and programs including employee relations, compensation, and training. - Generating and analyzing reports on personnel information for staffing, turnover, compensation, and other relevant metrics. - Staying updated on laws and regulations affecting HR management, identifying trends, and advising management accordingly. - Participating in the resolution of employee relations issues and proactively addressing potential problems. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. - 15+ years of experience in Human Resources. - 10+ years of supervisory experience. - Proficiency in managing US HR operations with extensive knowledge of state and federal regulations. - Knowledge of Canadian HR practices is a plus. - Professional certifications such as SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are highly desirable. - Experience managing a large employee base in a multi-location environment. - Ability to work night shifts. Your skills should include strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication abilities, attention to detail, good judgment, a strong work ethic, and the capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
